Duratran mounted on clear acrylic panel and framed in a bespoke matt black playing card shaped light-box with the same height to width ratio as an original Alberto Vargas Pin-Up Playing Card.  Includes dimmer switch, gold and black silk flex cable and hanging brackets plus a certificate of authenticity with original Alberto Vargas playing card circa 1950.

The work pays homage to the seminal pin-up artist Alberto Vargas circa 1940-1960. Taking his lead from Vargas’ pin-up playing cards Simon re-imagines the motif for the 21st Century. He incorporates state of the art print methods with his stylised studio photography to produce wholly authentic pin-up art. The collection comprises of a Royal Flush of cards printed in Duratran format and housed in playing card shaped light boxes. Each card features it’s own pin-up character.

Each piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and an original 1940’s Alberto Vargas playing Card.
