Tim Platt has been working as a professional photographer for over 20 years. He runs his own studio in central London shooting stills and motion for advertising and design clients. His work has featured on numerous occasions in the Design & Art Direction annual and was selected for the AOP Open awards this year. His commercial work is often people orientated, from babies to old-timers, working for diverse international clients such as Samsung, Mcdonalds, Britvic and GSK. He also shoots beauty, and has photographed more than his fair share of shapely legs for many of the top UK and international hosiery brands. Lately he has been working on iconic studio portraits of birds and animals. These often feature minimal abstract backgrounds to emphasise the myriad levels of detail and beauty in Nature’s grand design. Recent animal photography commissions include packaging and ATL for a global pet food brand, studio shots of white horses for Troy Asset Management and a black panther for LG Electronics.
